This policy covers Customer Information, which means personally identifiable information about a consumer or a consumer's current or former customer relationship with Just For You Communications, which refers to the companies listed in section 9.

1. PROTECTING INFORMATION ABOUT YOU

Unlike many other organizations, Just For You Communications does not sell or share any Customer Information with marketers outside the Just For You Communications family of companies who may want to offer you their own products and services. You don't need to take any action for this benefit.

2. MAKING THE SECURITY OF INFORMATION A PRIORITY

Keeping financial information secure is one of our most important responsibilities. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect Customer Information. Employees are authorized to access Customer Information for business purposes only. Our employees are bound by a code of ethics that requires confidential treatment of Customer Information and are subject to disciplinary action if they fail to follow this code.

3. COLLECTING INFORMATION

We collect and use various types of information in order to manage our business and risks.

Customer Information is categorized in the following five ways:

 

A. Application Information — information that you provide to us on applications and through other means. Examples include your Social Security Number, credit card number, and checking account number.

 

B. Transaction and Experience Information — information about your transactions and account experience, as well as information about our communications with you. Examples include your payment history, credit card usage, and your inquiries and our responses.

 

C. Consumer Report Information — information from a consumer report. Examples include your creditworthiness and credit history.

 

D. Information from Outside Sources — information from outside sources regarding your employment, credit and other relationships. Examples include your employment history, loan balances, credit card balances, property insurance coverage and other verifications.

 

E. Other General Information — information from outside sources, such as data from public records, that is not assembled or used for the purpose of determining your eligibility for a product or service.


As required by the USA PATRIOT Act, we also collect information and take actions necessary to verify your identification.

4. MANAGING INFORMATION

We manage how and when information is shared:

  • Within Just For You Communications
  • With companies that work for us
  • In other situations

Managing information within the Just For You Communications family of companies

The Just For You Communications family of companies is made up of three of companies. Please refer to the section 9 - Just For You Communications Companies - for a current list of our companies that are subject to this policy.

Just For You Communications may share all five categories of Customer Information among our companies. For example, if you have an account with one of our companies and would like to open an account with another of our companies, we may share information you have previously provided to us. Sharing this information could save you time opening your new account since you may not need to furnish the same information twice. Sharing information also enhances our ability to protect your accounts against unauthorized activity and helps us investigate any fraudulent activity on an account.

Managing information with companies that work for us

We may share any of the five categories of Customer Information outlined in this policy with companies that work for us, including companies located outside the United States. All companies that act on our behalf are contractually obligated to keep the information we provide to them confidential and to use the Customer Information we share only to provide the services we ask them to perform for you and us. These companies may include financial service providers such as payment processing companies and nonfinancial companies such as check printing and data processing companies. These companies might assist us, for example, in processing your transactions, mailing invoices and fulfilling your service requests.

In addition, we may share any of the five categories of Customer Information with companies that work for us in order to provide marketing support and other services. Some of our own companies may provide any of these services for us as well.

Disclosing information in other situations

We also may disclose any of the five categories of Customer Information to credit bureaus and similar organizations and when required or permitted by law. For example, Customer Information may be disclosed in connection with a subpoena or similar legal process, fraud prevention or investigation, and risk management and security. Customer Information may also be disclosed to companies that process your requests for products or services, or in connection with the sale of your account to another financial institution. We also may share any of the five categories of Customer Information outside the Just For You Communications family of companies if we have your consent.

You may have other privacy protections under state laws. We will comply with applicable state laws with regard to our information practices.

5. MAKING SURE INFORMATION IS ACCURATE

Keeping your account information accurate and up to date is very important. If your account information is incomplete or changes, please call or write to us at the telephone number or address listed on this site. We will promptly update or correct any erroneous or changed information. Please contact us if you have questions or feel that we have not handled information about you properly.

6. HONORING YOUR PREFERENCES

You have choices when it comes to how Just For You Communicaitons shares and uses information.

Sharing among the Just For You Communications family of companies

You may request that Application Information, Consumer Report Information and Information from Outside Sources not be shared among the Just For You Communications family of companies. During the normal course of doing business, we will continue to share Transaction and Experience Information as well as Other General Information among our companies in order to service you better and to manage our business and risks.

Direct Marketing

You can choose not to receive marketing offers from us by direct mail, telephone and/or e-mail. This preference applies to offers from us about our products and services, and about other products that we think may be of interest to you.

If you elect not to receive product information by direct mail, telephone or e-mail, you will continue to:

  • Be contacted as necessary to service your account
  • Be contacted by your relationship manager or assigned account representative, if applicable
  • Receive marketing information included with regular mailings and when you visit us online

To help you understand how we record your preferences, you should know that:

  • Your preferences will be honored among all the Just For You Communications family of companies
  • Since some marketing programs may already be in progress, it may take four to six weeks for your preferences to be fully effective

Telling us your preferences

A. Review your preference options.

Sharing among the Just For You Communications family of companies
You may request that Just For You Communications restrict access to Application Information, Consumer Report Information and Information from Outside Sources among the Just For You Communications family of companies.

Information is shared among the Just For You Communications family of companies to complete applications for new products or services that you request, thereby saving you time, and to manage our business and risks. It may also enable you to speak with a single customer service representative who has access to your information so that you will not have to speak to a representative from each affiliate. If you choose to restrict access to this information, you may need to give the same information multiple times for customer service and on applications for new products and services.


Direct Marketing
You may request that the Just For You Communications companies not contact you about direct marketing offers through any or all of the following methods of communication:

  • By mail
  • By telephone
  • By e-mail
  • By fax

Direct marketing offers from Just For You Communications may include information about new products and services being offered by the our firm. If you choose not to hear from us, you may not receive offers about Just For You Communications products and services that may be of value to you.

B. Tell us your preferences.
You can tell us your preferences by:

When you contact us, please be prepared to provide the following information for each individual:

  • First name, middle initial and last name
  • Address, city, state and zip code
  • Social Security number (if applicable)
  • Telephone number (if applicable)
  • E-mail address (if applicable)
  • Any Account, ABA, or tracking numbers that may apply
If any of these pieces of information change, please notify us to ensure that your preferences are consistently honored. Each customer may tell us their preferences individually, or you may tell us the preferences for any other customers who are joint account owners with you.

Once you have told us your preferences, we will continue to honor them. You do not need to take any further action.

8. GUARDING YOUR INFORMATION

Just For You Communications recommends that you take the following precautions to guard against the disclosure and unauthorized use of your account and personal information:

  • Never provide personal information (including full Social Security numbers or account and credit card information) over the phone unless you have initiated the call and know with whom you are speaking.
  • Safeguard ATM, credit and debit cards.
  • Memorize PINs (personal identification numbers) and refrain from writing PINs, Social Security numbers or credit card numbers where they can easily be found.
  • Immediately change preassigned PINs to a personally memorized PIN.
  • Do not use easily identifiable numbers such as birth dates, addresses, phone numbers or Social Security numbers when choosing your PIN.
  • Store cancelled checks, new checks and account statements in a safe place.
  • Tear up or shred unused preapproved credit offers and other personal documentation.
  • Report lost or stolen checks credit and debit cards immediately.
  • Be mindful of online transactions or information submissions and their security.
  • Store personal passwords in a safe location.

Reducing direct marketing from other companies

You may contact the following agencies if you want to reduce the amount of advertising you receive from companies outside Just For You Communications:

Credit Reporting Industry

To have your name taken off all preapproved credit solicitations (not just Just For You Communications solicitations), you may call the credit reporting industry Pre-screening Opt-Out number at 1.888.5OPTOUT (1.888.567.8688).

National Do Not Call Registry

Just For You Communications supports the National Do Not Call Registry. To have your phone number added to the National Do Not Call Registry, you may call 1.888.382.1222 or register at www.fcc.gov/cgb/donotcall. While this will stop most calls, you may still receive calls from businesses where you are a customer.
